| A.N.R. College of Education was established in the academic year 1999-2000.
The family of late K.G. Prasada Rao, a retired lecturer fo Akkineni Nageswara Rao College, Gudivada, extended substantial amount of financial support for improvement of infrastructure and academic facilities of Akkineni Nageswara Rao College of Education, Gudivada. As a measure of expressing our gratitude, the management unanimously resolved to the name Akkineni Nageswara Rao College of Education, Gudivada after late K.G. Prasada Rao duly prefixing his name to the existing name of the college, i.e., to have the name of the college as " K.G. Prasada Rao - A.N.R. College of Education " Gudivada from the year 2006-2007. |

| It is a 1 year course in English Medium and the exams will be conducted at the end of the year. |

| B.Ed. course consists of 120 seats. |

| The Convener, Ed.CET will make admissions for 80% of seats on the basis of rank and remaining 20% of seats will be filled by the College Management under Management Quota during every academic year. |

There are Four Methodologies in B.Ed. course, i.e., Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science and Social Studies. Separate Sections will be allotted for every Methodology. |
